A fantastic newly renovated motel! I travel frequently, and to my surprise, the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in was right here in Lumsden

Really friendly staff. I was on the around the mountain cycle tour and only had a 19km run in from Mossburn.|They got the place ready in 30 minutes and directed me to a nearby cafe for a delicious coffee and slice.|Fresh milk was supplied and the showers were warm , inviting and at sufficient pressure.

Older Motel getting a bit tied but very clean with plenty of space.
Owner very nice. These small towns have done it very hard since covid hit, very happy to support small local business.

This is one of my fav retreats

Clean, comfortable accommodation in Lumsden — the perfect Southland base between Queenstown and Invercargill. Enjoy genuine Kiwi hospitality and easy access to the cycle trail and Ōreti River.
